IT has been announced that the 12 month contract phones is coming back (well to Vodafone at least). Many people thought that they had seen the last of 12 month contract phones, and there is a good case for them not to be made available anymore (although they were the most popular contract length when available).

 As the Smart phone really took grip of the mobile market, the demand for phone contracts to have inclusive internet browsing, combined with the ever increasing cost of the smart phone its self, meant that the phone companies thought it would cost the user far too much a month to make a 12 month contract viable, hence why the 18 month and 24 month contracts can offer a large number of minutes, texts and internet usage for reasonable monthly costs.

So it is down to the end user to decide whether it is worth paying the premium for a 12 month contract, to make sure you always have the latest phones, and best chance to change contract plan in an ever changing phone environment.
